Twenty-nine years ago today, November 19, 1969, AG Marriage Encounter coordinator and Vietnam veteran Bob Whelan's act of heroism and skill saved the lives of an estimated 200 U.S. soldiers. However, it would be nearly two decades before Whelan would start to experience inner healing from his war experiences — and of all places, at a Marriage Encounter weekend he and his wife were leading!
