Don says:  "When events in my life started to become more than I could handle on my own, I somehow knew that only GOD could provide me with the answers I was seeking.  I had visited churches in the past and never felt comfortable.  The day I decided to visit the First Assembly of God in Newbern was the first day of the rest of my life.  As I entered the building, I felt a warmth that could not be explained.  The members of the church greeted me as if they had known me forever.  The handshakes and hugs felt sincere and the smiles were genuine.  I knew then, I had found my home.  All I can do now is thank GOD for his grace in leading me to my home.  Now, I eagerly await the visitors to welcome them into 'our' home."

 Monica says:  "I believe that everything that encompasses one's church should be a direct extension from their home and family.  It is such a blessing to find that one church holds your family as close to their hearts as they do their own.  1st Assembly of God-Newbern has become our family and I love every person that has walked through our doors.  After all, aren't we all sharing the same Father?"

J.A. says:  "Come worship with us.  Entering our church, a feeling of love is present.  A warmth that comes from a family gathering of brothers and sisters with faith in GOD.  We believe God hears and answers prayer; and that He heals the whole man, mind, body and spirit.  The Holy Spirit is present and can be felt.  I know from pesonal experience.  A brother was being lifted while in prayer so much that he held on to another brother, and I to him, to stay on the floor.  I have been healed from open heart surgery.  I experienced a rapid recovery.  God answers the prayers of His people.  Do come and worship with us, with raised hands or bowed heads.  Come as you are."

James says:  "My family attends First Assembly of God in Newbern, TN because of the leadership and dedication demonstrated by our pastor and his spouse, Brother and Sister Fisher, and the peace and harmony we enjoy here.  Our youth group is growing under the guidance and leadership of Brother and Sister Douglas.  The youth are active in the local schools, witnessing and inviting other youth to come.  We also have a Royal Ranger and Missionette program.  There is something for everyone at First Assembly, Newbern.  Our praise and worship team is superb.  Our Pastor preaches the Word of God directly from the Holy Bible with no deviation or compromise.  We are truly blessed.  Our congregation is in constant prayer for the needs of our Church, the community and those in need of healing, comfort, or any other need.  Our church is involved in Missions, both foreign and stateside.  Come and visit us.  You will be warmly received."
